Chapter 1124: Unsolicited Kindness Means a Hidden Motive

During that period, Mom Warner would frequently bring things over.Sometimes she’d deliver them herself, other times she’d send someone.

Most were nourishing foods, and in her words, she was urging Stella Charlie and Vincent Warner to hurry up and have kids.

Stella Charlie knew that Mom Warner wasn’t very satisfied with her. She couldn’t win against Vincent Warner, so she reluctantly accepted finding a woman who could continue the family line.

Stella Charlie also saw things clearly—so long as this relationship continued, she could accept it. After all, the one truly living with her was Vincent Warner.

When it came to having kids, Vincent Warner respected her feelings.

Stella Charlie felt that Mom Warner’s urging for grandchildren had reached even her ears. Vincent’s ears probably had calluses from it, yet he never brought it up in front of her.

However, they never took any contraceptive measures, and Stella felt that this kind of thing should just happen naturally.

That day, Stella went to the company cafeteria for lunch as usual.

There were several dishes she liked on the menu, but once they were on the table, she suddenly lost her appetite.

Looking at the dishes, she only felt they were greasy, and even felt a bit nauseous.

Having been pregnant once before, she sensitively left the cafeteria immediately and went to the hospital for a check-up.

When she saw the pregnancy test report, her feelings were quite complex.

It inevitably reminded her of the previous pregnancy test scene and the child she never met...

"Knock knock—"

Hearing the knock on the door, Vincent Warner looked at his computer and answered without lifting his head, "Come in."

The girl accompanying Stella upstairs was about to say something, but Stella stopped her.

Stella waved her hand to signal her to leave, and the girl nodded and left.

Not hearing the person come in, Vincent finally looked up to check.

His originally serious and expressionless face immediately softened when he saw Stella.

"Honey, what brings you here?"

"Came to see you." Stella closed the door behind her and walked towards Vincent.

Vincent also got up to meet her, his hand naturally wrapping around Stella’s slender waist, pulling her into his arms as he gently pinched her nose, "What brings you here with such enthusiasm? Is there something up?"

Stella looked at the stack of files on his desk and asked, "Haven’t you had lunch yet?"

Vincent sounded a bit aggrieved, "Didn’t you say you weren’t having lunch with me today? I planned to finish what I’m working on and then eat."

Stella held his hand and said, "I’ve changed my mind. Do you want to join me now?"

"When have I ever turned you down?" Vincent smiled indulgently, turning to grab his coat and keys.

Stella chose a restaurant across from the company, and Vincent realized she probably wasn’t here just to eat.

After ordering, Vincent asked her, "So, what brings you to find me? I can’t believe you came all this way just to eat at a restaurant near my company."

Stella said, "I just went to the hospital."

Vincent’s smile froze immediately, and he asked worriedly, "What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Stella nodded, "Yeah, loss of appetite, can’t eat anything."

"Did you catch a cold? Let me check."

Saying that, Vincent reached out to check Stella’s forehead, but she laughed and turned her head to dodge him.

Seeing Stella’s expression, Vincent finally caught on, but he was a bit incredulous, hesitant to confirm, "What do you mean? Are you pregnant?"
