Chapter 116: I’m a dad?
Chapter 116: I’m a dad?
"Byronnn!" came a shout from the battlements.
Byron had just emerged from the forest. He didn’t expect any Amazonian to spot him that soon. But hey, he was still the only male in their realm, and he was clad in the same outfit as he did when he left both Themiscyra and New Themiscyra. It was a dark red jacket fit for a royal and blue trousers, also dark, so dark they actually looked black.
If the Amazons had been keeping an eye on the Wolves’ Den, then it was no surprise at all that they should spot him as soon as he emerged from it.
"Look! Look! It’s Byron!" the Amazonian shouted to the others who were with her on top of the gatehouse. They looked, and as soon as they spotted him, they squealed in excitement.
"Byronnn!"
Some of them started hopping around, raising their spears and their bows in triumph, while others ran atop the battlements and down the rampart stairs into the courtyard.
They didn’t stop chanting his name. They didn’t stop shouting that he was back. Anyone on the castle grounds could now hear them.
Soon, the whole castle was engulfed in the same chant.
"Byron’s back!"
There were shouts of;
"Really?"
"Where?"
"From the forest?"
"Are you sure?"
"Byron is back!"
"Byron is back!"
It eventually changed to "Our Byron is back!"
And lastly to just "He is back!"
Byron couldn’t see what was going on inside the walls, but he could imagine the chaos as girls ran out of the castle, shouting to each other in excitement, their leaders shouting orders to them to go open the huge gate and lower the drawbridge.
The castle was pretty big, and it looked great. It had everything you would imagine a castle to have. A moat, a big gatehouse, battlements, a huge curtain wall... Everything.
Although, unlike the castles in New Themiscyra, this one didn’t have pointy roofs and such things normally done to make a castle have a princess look. This one looked like it was built to fend off formidable enemies. It reminded him of a prison.
The drawbridge was now fully lowered and the gate wide open. He had been standing, staring and waving to the Amazonians atop the rampart, but now he took a step toward them.
Their excitement tripled.
For a moment, as he walked toward the gatehouse, it seemed like no one was going to come out to meet him. Considering how excited they had been by just the sight of him, this was strange.
How could they resist running to him like puppies to their owner who just returned from work?
He need not have worried.
A dozen of Amazonians marched through the gate, calm, too calm actually, looking more like Queensguard on parade rather than horny women coming to meet their lover who had been missing for 9 months.
Byron was kinda confused by this strange behavior, but when he saw who was leading them, he sort of understood.
It was Alcippe.
It was strange seeing her in the same white dress she had been wearing the first time Byron met her in that valley north of New Themiscyra.
Back then he was confused as to where he was, as to why everyone was naked, and she had seemed mysterious when he realized she was the only one who was not.
But now he knew her. He knew of her oath of chastity, of her fighting skills and of the guilt she carried in her heart after shooting Keza and causing Byron to go missing.
He knew of the flying monstrosities, of the Tusked-wolves in the forest he had just come out of, of how dangerous this whole area was.
There was no way Byron could have survived. After 9 months looking for him and finding nothing, she must have lost all hope and only stayed here because her Queen said so. Because she felt guilty for having been the one who shot the arrow that led to this predicament.
That’s why she was calm, why she had ordered the other Amazonians following behind her to come with their weapons, to be disciplined.
She was being cautious. And she should have. This could be Hera playing a trick on them. Giving them false hope only to lure them into a trap. Of course, it had been decades since Hera engaged into such pettiness, but nothing was certain when it came to the Queen of Olympus.
Byron was now out of the meadow and onto the paved path that led to the gate. And that’s where they met.
"Is it you?" asked Alcippe.
"Of course!" replied Byron, grinning. "Who else could it be?"
"How?"
"Have you seen the island on the lake past the forest?"
Alcippe nodded her head. "What of it?"
"There lives a nymph and a few dryads. They nursed me back to life."
Alcippe’s face remained calm. If she was surprised, nothing in her demeanor gave anything away.
But the Amazonians behind her looked shocked. One of them even dared to exclaim,
"That bitch! She told Keza she had never seen you."
Hearing the girl say Keza gave Byron some comfort. He knew she had survived, but the confirmation was much appreciated.
As for the girl who just spoke, she had dark hair and brown eyes. Byron tried so hard to remember her but he found that he couldn’t. Had he met her before? Perhaps yes, but he was sure he never did. After all, even though it had been 9 months since he went missing, to him, because he had been in a coma the whole time, it was just a few days ago. There’s no way he could have forgotten anyone he had met.
Alcippe glanced at the girl disapprovingly, then turned back to Byron. She was obviously still wary.
"Why didn’t you tell them to inform us?"
Byron let out a chuckle. "That’s the thing. I was unconscious this whole time. I woke up yesterday."
This time, her eyebrows slightly arched.
"And you are able to walk?"
Byron had not even thought about it, but now that Alcippe mentioned it, he too wondered about it.
It’s common sense that someone who had been in a coma for several months would need physical therapy and a few days to be able to function as he used to. There could only be one explanation.
"The nymph and her dryads are great healers. They have magick powers."
The Amazonians behind Alcippe nodded to themselves. That explanation made sense. But Alcippe looked like she still had a few questions to ask.
Before she could voice any, there came a baby’s cry, then another. Byron looked past Alcippe and Amazonians behind her.
Someone with long silver hair dressed in the white attire of a priestess was running towards him holding a baby on her chest, shouting his name.
It was Strawberry.
All sorts of emotions went through Byron. Before he knew it, he was sprinting towards her, his arms wide open, ready to wrap her into his embrace.
She pressed against him, crying.
"I missed you! I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too."
She kissed him on the lips. He responded. It was passionate. But then the baby started wailing, reaching out to him with its pudgy little hands.
Byron reached for the baby. Strawberry gently gave it to him.
"And who is this?" he said as he kissed the baby’s forehead, joyous. He knew that this was his baby. But he wanted confirmation.
"He’s your son," replied Strawberry, her face beaming. "I couldn’t name him. I knew you would be back. For now I call him the First."
Byron was about to ask if there was a second, which was likely considering all the other girls he had fucked before he went missing, but then he spotted a girl with blue hair walking toward him while also holding a baby to her chest.
Byron remembered her. It was Nym. How could he forget her? She had almost bitten his dick off while trying to give him head.
But why did she have a baby? He had not fucked her. He remembered everything that went on that day. He had eaten her pussy and fingered her, but he had not penetrated her with his dick.
Just then, Nym reached where he was standing with Strawberry.
"I couldn’t believe it when they said you were back," she said, getting closer for a hug.
They hugged... And kissed. The baby cried.
Strawberry quickly stepped closer and took the baby from Nym’s arms and made it suckle on her breast while she said, "Meet the Second, the First’s twin brother."
Byron jumped in excitement. "I’m a dad of twins? Oh my goodness! I’m a dad. I have twins."
The feeling was better than an orgasm.
