The Last King Of Darkness

Chapter 1811 - 829: Battle at the Giant Graveyard

Chapter 1811 - 829: Battle at the Giant Graveyard

"Is this the Giant Graveyard?"

Rhein exclaimed.

"In the Ancient Epoch, the annihilation of the Giant Clan was the direct cause for the end of the epoch. Our scholars believe that the epoch effectively ended after the Battle of the Giant Royal Court. The Battle of the Sacred Tree and the Star Fall Battle were merely struggles in desperation."

Rod softly said, "Our Royal City is the Giant King City, and the Great Dragon City is where the Battle of the Giant Royal Court took place."

Rhein exclaimed in shock, "Are you serious? The former Giant King City is actually Trolian Royal City? Is there an Abyss entrance suppressed beneath you?"

Rod nodded lightly.

"We sealed it with a massive Silver Ring."

Rhein’s expression was a mix of astonishment and awe, "I can’t believe it. We’ve been searching for the Giant relics for many years. Our scholars have gone to great lengths to uncover that lost history. We’ve made significant efforts yet never realized our direction was wrong from the start. The Giant Royal Court is on the Dead Ash Mountain Range in Gray Soil Continent, while we explored towards the Ice Soil Continent, even crossed the Endless Sea for it. No wonder we never had major discoveries..."

The call of the Dream Fragment was imminent. Rod’s pace slowed, cautiously moving forward, while asking.

"Why are you so concerned about the Giant relics?"

Rhein answered seriously, "Because we found that the destruction of the Giant Clan is related to many significant secrets. The Great Shepherd Leader once told us that finding the traces of the Giant Clan would uncover the reasons for the destruction."

The reason for the destruction?

Rod’s heart skipped a beat as he was about to inquire further when suddenly, the call within his soul intensified. He immediately realized a powerful presence was rapidly approaching them and shouted urgently, "Careful, the monster is coming!"

Rhein’s expression condensed, instantly unleashing spiritual energy, sweeping his strong perception across the surrounding area but found no enemies.

"Where? I didn’t..."

Before he finished speaking, a needle-like sense of crisis struck his brain, and Rhein’s battle-trained instincts instantly condensed all spiritual energy around him.

Boom!

With a thunderous roar.

A massive shock wave tore through Rhein’s spiritual defense and pierced his Steel Soul, but at that deadly moment, he transformed into a streak of light.

The shock wave pierced through, hitting the ground, exploding seconds later below, causing the earth to ripple like waves. Huge cracks split open under Rod’s feet, and the dull rumble seemed to make the whole world tremble.

With a flash of light, Rhein instantly recovered, shouting, "Careful, the monster is invisible!"

Rod had already activated the Eye of the Soul, but still didn’t see anything. Despite the soul’s call being so close, his vision was empty.

"Master!" yelled the Book of Knowledge, "It’s high-level space invisibility! Its true form lurks beneath the Sea of Source, in a quantized state!"

Rod was greatly shocked, "What did you say? A quantized monster, how could that exist? How could it affect the physical material?"

Besides the formless and substanceless Source Law, how could physical material be quantized?

The Book of Knowledge said solemnly, "Master, this is an extremely powerful ability. It can conceptualize a physical entity within the Sea of Source under Source Law, while interacting with the Material World. If I’m not mistaken, it should be the true form of Giant King Omir."

The Book of the Future flipped its pages, a powerful light of fate flashing within its soul, instantly confirming the fact, shouting, "It’s him, it’s him, that’s the true form of Giant King Omir! Quickly kill him, Master. I see he is intricately linked to you; defeating him will grant you immense power!"

Rod’s heart sank; he knew this well, but the question now was how to defeat him. He hurriedly asked, "Book, what do we do?"

The Book of Knowledge slowly flipped its pages, deep in thought.

Not far away, Rhein was locked in fierce battle with the quantized ghost. His body again radiated that water-like spiritual energy, intense light surrounding him. The enormous spiritual energy blazed in his soul, turning his body crimson—that was Rhein’s Indestructible Steel, said to reach a limit where it became undying and indestructible on a physical level.

Rhein hadn’t reached that level yet, but his strength was quite high, trying to withstand attacks this way. However, he quickly realized the monster’s destructive capability exceeded his limits, even fully prepared, couldn’t withstand.

So, he transformed into intangible light again; this ability stemmed from "Radiant Power," a suggestion from a long-overlooked, often deemed mad scholar in Saint Longde. In this form, he suffered no harm, generating massive heat. The only issue was the immense spiritual energy consumption, limiting his usage to short bursts.

The intangible light dissipated instantly, Rhein reappearing nearby; this ability allowed him to escape perils in numerous battles, achieving today’s success.

But, this ability alone was insufficient. Rhein couldn’t find the enemy, only to endure attacks passively, continuing this way would eventually deplete his spiritual energy.
