Chapter 196: A Surprise At Home? [FIXED]

Chapter 196: A Surprise At Home? [FIXED]

Shantel was hard at work but she knew that one miscalculation had the potential to cause some serious problems. The skies were blue and the bird chirped however the season was soon going to change and they were all ready for what was coming.

They knew that they needed to stock up as well because there was no telling what could happen.

Dimitris and his raiders occasionally went out, getting a few things every now and then in regards to medicine but it wasn’t enough to really do anything else.

She liked that she was busy with something, this made her feel useful to those around her unlike when she was in the camp with Andre.

It also felt like Jason was avoiding her but she was in no place to complain.

She didn’t understand why but she knew he didn’t belong to her even though she did belong to him, at least to her.

"I see, you’re the accountant," A man said, Shantel turned to see Mathias standing over her.

This man was handsome no doubt, one could say he was hotter than Jason in terms of physical appearance yet she wasn’t attracted to him.

The moment Shantel laid eyes on Jason, she just knew she had to have him in her.

She wasn’t feeling the same way Mathias, he didn’t have that aura.

"I’m Shantel, nice to meet you," Shantel greeted him, stretching her hand for a handshake.

"I’m Mathias and I must say, you’re quite the beauty," Mathias complimented her.

This wasn’t Shantel’s first time seeing but this was their first time conversing but she wanted to know what he wanted.

"Hahaha! Thank you Mathias, you aren’t so bad looking yourself," Shantel was trying her best to keep the atmosphere friendly but she knew that Mathias was trying to come onto her.

"You know, we should hang out when you’re done for the day..." Mathias suggested.

"I would love that but I will be too tired to do anything. I think I will just head home to get some rest. Maybe some other time. Is there something you need?" Shantel asked.

Mathias smiled, in his deluded mind, she was playing hard to get but Shantel had no interest in him.

"Ah, yes. I wanted to get some bread," Mathias said and Shantel checked the price list.

She told Mathias and Mathias paid for it before leaving.

Shantel couldn’t stand men like him but she was humble enough to admit he was hot.

She kept checking the books but she grew tired, Shantel wondered how Andre was doing and if she would ever see him again.

She had a lot to thank him for because one could say he was the sole reason she was alive.

Shantel couldn’t lie, she was getting sexually frustrated, she got extremely horny every time she thought of Jason and how he felt inside her... How deep he reached.

There was only so much a woman could take.

Rachel and she hadn’t spoken since she came to the camp, Rachel knew she must be one of Jason’s fuck toys but this didn’t mean they had to be friends.

Rachel knew boundaries were essential for respect to be maintained for that thin line could be crossed if she was too friendly.

Shantel knew that was the woman that Jason belonged to and she could understand why.

It was rare to see a white girl built like that and apparently, you could go black and go back.

Jason had shown her this much but Rachel was impressed by Jason’s control.

She didn’t think he would pass this little test but this showed her how serious he was with her.

It was an ego booster to be honest, having the man every other woman wanted wrapped around her fingers like that.

-

Carl and Jason had spoken about him joining the raiders and Jason knew he could get Carl in.

Jason gave him hope but if this was false hope was yet to be seen.

He understood Carl needed a new reason to live, he could relate to his pain somewhat because he felt lost when his brother died but this also triggered the drastic change in him.

Jason didn’t want Carl to give up on life at such a young age but he was disappointed in Mariam that she wasn’t doing a better job at comforting her son.

Carl returned home but Jason was going to meet the most feared man in this community.

He was going to meet Dimitris, Jason walked towards his office and he was searching for weapons.

They took away the pistol he kept on him before a man entered the building to inform Dimitris of his presence.

Jason was preparing his speech mentally because this would be the first time he is talking to Dimitris one on one but it was something that couldn’t be avoided.

He knew that the reason Dimitris rejected him was to protect Mariam.

Outside the wall was a terrible place to be, there was no way that Carl would survive the kind of missions they underwent.

This was why they allowed him to be a recruiter and leave the walls to walk in places with low zombie activity.

This kept him in the real world and made him aware of the dangers there but unfortunate for them, it didn’t dissuade him.

"Come in," The guard said before handing Jason his pistol.

"Are you sure?" Jason questioned, puzzled because what was the point of searching him.

He knew that Dimitris had a hand in this but was this the General playing mind games with him.

Jason took the pistol and walked right in to see Dimitris seated on the chair, staring right at him.

"What do you want, Jason?" Dimitris asked, Jason gulped because the way this man carried himself reeked of authority.

"I have come to speak to you about Carl," Jason said.

"Aren’t you going to take a seat?" Dimitris asked and Jason awkwardly did so.

"Now what about Carl?" Dimitris asked, Jason knew he needed to deliver his point.

"He wants to join the raiders and I have decided to take him under my wings," Jason said as he braced himself for what was to come.

"Alright, is that all?" Dimitris questioned.

Jason was confused because Dimitris had clearly denied his entry into the raiders but he wasn’t even resisting.

"Y-Yes.." Jason muttered as he began to walk away, this was a lot easier than he had thought but Dimitris only allowed Jason because he knew that Jason was more than capable of defending him.

He couldn’t let Carl go outside the walls without a babysitter and he didn’t trust anyone else to keep him safe.

Jason was the one that got the medicine, he was the one that ventured into dangerous territory and came back alive.

Dimitris knew he had a role to play there, he didn’t know who Jason was but he knew that Carl couldn’t be in better hands.

"Jason..." Dimitris called out to him, halting the man in his tracks.

"If anything happens to Carl, you will be executed. That is all," Dimitris dismissed.

He wasn’t bluffing and he knew it, the workload on Dimitris was telling.

They needed Mariam to resume her work, maybe he should go see her?

No, that would be a bad idea, there was a reason even Dimitris hadn’t seen her.

Jason accepted his terms, he simply had to treat Carl like he would Lillian and they should be fine.

The day was coming to an end, it was a quick day and Jason knew he should probably call it a day. He went back home but the door was open.

There were only two people that had access to his house key, that was Rachel and Lillian.

However, Rachel never came in unannounced, that was a Lillian thing so that was who he was expecting.

"Oi you little shit, what are you doing here?" Jason questioned the moment he entered his house.

"You better not try anything funny or I will tell people you don’t wash your hands, you nasty little punk," Jason threatened as he turned on the lights but what he saw not only made his jaw drop but his dick shot up like a spring.

It was Rachel, in a very sexy lingerie, standing right in front of him.

"R-Rachel, you look so good babe!" Jason praised her but this could only mean one thing.

"I’m glad you like it," Rachel said with a smile, noticing his erect penis.

"Does it hurt?" Rachel asked but the blood in Jason’s head had already gone to his penis.

He wasn’t hearing anything, his eyes were focused on her chest.

"Today is the day!" Jason thought to himself but he also knew how important this was to Rachel.

"Wait... Are you comfortable with this? I could wait some more if you aren’t..." Jason said.

Unlike most people he had fucked, he didn’t see Rachel as some sex toy but as an actual person.

He knew he owed her this level of respect, it was the bare minimum after all.

Rachel nodded but Jason noticed she was uncomfortable, her body language betrayed her.

Jason walked up to her, Rachel tilting her head to look him right in the eyes.

"God, you’re so beautiful," Jason said right before burying his lips on hers.

Rachel’s body was heating up, it was hard not to get excited in this situation but Jason wasn’t about to rush this, he wanted Rachel to feel how much he loved her through his body.
