Chapter 340: To The North.

The goddess’s voice echoed through the mural, and the vision was recorded in the image stone. The people were surprised, and the warriors were already kneeling. The goddess said, "Telia will serve the people till her last breath, and she will no longer be called a witch. Her blessing to cast magic has been nullified."

The next moment, Telia, fell to her knees, and her skin began to squirm. Gradually, she turned into an old lady. Her appearance did not resemble the beautiful self that she looked like a few moments ago. There was only one reason. She was using magic to sustain her appearance.

After the decrees were delivered, the vision vanished, and the people stood up slowly after regaining their composure. They never expected to see the goddess appear in front of them. It was a shock and a scene that could be narrated to the masses for ages.

Valerian looked at Telia and sighed. He said, "Your sins made you so miserable, Telia."

He thought that since the lady was banished from using magic, she could not speak, and the organs he created for her must vanish at any time. However, the old lady raised her head with murky eyes, saying, "The goddess sentenced me to serve the people. I may not have any magic in me anymore, but she did not take away my arms and tongue."

Valerian was surprised, and from her voice, he could tell she was relieved and asked, "Then why did you ask me to kill you?"

Telia smiled bitterly and said, "I did not think I deserved to live. However, the goddess spoke to me. She said if I think of myself as someone who should be condemned, I shall at least try to earn some recognition before I die."

Valerian nodded and stopped talking. He looked at Mahiyan, who was wiping his tears, and said, "Sir Mahiyan, can I ask you to contact the Saintess?"

Mahiyan nodded and said, "I will do it right away."

The man had just finished speaking when a roar sounded outside the tower. The people were stunned, but Valerian smiled widely, and he ran. The speed was so fast that he left behind an afterimage. More people followed him outside, and they opened their eyes wide. Valerian stood at the tower entrance and was about to take down the walls when the silver behemoth in the sky shrank.

Valerian was stunned, but the dragon in the sky shrank in size, and the figure twisted. The young man could not believe his eyes. After a few moments, the silver dragon had transformed into a silver-haired girl.

The girl was tall enough to reach Valerian’s chest, her silver hair reached her waist, and she had a slender physique. It was her face, and she was so beautiful that Valerian had no idea what to say, an oval face with almond eyes and a sharp chin.

The young man was dazed when the girl dressed in a black robe walked over and slapped his face. The impact sent Valerian off his feet, and the girl said, "How dare you use the elemental magic on a whim? Did you forget that it can cause you to die?"

The young man sat up from the ground and said, "Long time no see, Fortuna."

Fortuna was not able to communicate and slowly walked over to his side. She grabbed him by the collar and said, "You wish to die? Undo the magical bond, and I will kill you myself. You bastard."

Valerian smiled and said, "I missed you too."

Fortuna sensed a twitch develop on the corner of her lips and raised a fist again. Just when she wished to break all the teeth off his mouth, a sweet voice sounded, "Who are you? What are you doing to my big brother?"

Valerian was surprised, but then he found a little girl running over to his side, and with a jump, she delivered a roundhouse kick aimed at Fortuna’s temple. The speed was fast but not something Fortuna could not handle.

She raised her forearm to handle the kick and dodged the attack to dissolve the impact. She was surprised to see this kid dared to attack her, but more than that, she was surprised that as half a beast and half a human, Valerie was not scared of her aura.

Fortuna stepped back, and Valerian quickly hugged the girl in his arms. He said, "Vali, calm down. Fortuna is a friend."

Valerie replied with an angry tone, "What friends attack the other so hard?"

Valerian sighed and said, "She is a special person, Vali. Will you not listen to me anymore?"

The girl turned around in his arms and said, "Vali will listen to anything big brother says, but this big sister is bad."

She was a child and did not mean any ill will to Fortuna. Her only intention was to protect Valerian from the attacks. After all, he was her big brother. How could she allow anyone to come and beat him?

Fortuna crossed her arms and said, "Val, this little one sure is surprising."

Valerian smiled at her and said, "More than you?"

Fortuna turned her face away. Valerian put Valerie down on the ground and patted her head a bit. He walked up and stood in front of Fortuna. The distance between the two people was just one meter. He reached out, embraced the girl, and said, "I missed you, Fortuna."

Fortuna opened her eyes wide, but she did not say anything. She had also missed him, but she had her reasons. She wanted to hug him the moment she saw him, but the dragon inside her exploded when she saw what he did with his magic skills.

Valerian asked, "How did you know what I did with my magic skills?"

Fortuna did not say anything. She had difficulty breathing and was embarrassed to be hugged by this guy in front of so many eyes. She raised her hands and pushed him away before she spat on the ground and said, "Who are you being friendly with? Hmph, and how I know things is my business, not yours."

Valerian sighed and said, "You mastered your innate magic skill?"

Fortuna opened her eyes wide and wanted to ask something when another roar sounded in the sky. Gale came down from the sky and landed next to Fortuna. She bowed her head and said, "Greetings, Your Majesty."

Fortuna nodded and said, "You can return to the kingdom. The Elder has called for you."

Gale nodded and greeted Valerian before she left. Fortuna looked at all the people standing at the gates and asked, "They are always like this?"

Valerian shook his head and said, "No, a lot happened today."

The sun had risen on the horizon, and the night had faded away. Valerian took the two girls inside the tower while chatting with Fortuna. Suddenly, Mahiyan came and said, "Valerian, I have contacted the saintess. She agrees to your visit to the north."

Valerian nodded and then looked at Fortuna. The dragon queen nodded and said, "We should leave now. I can still travel to the northern continent in three weeks."

Mahiyan hurriedly replied, "Your Majesty, that will not be needed. You may follow me, and we have a teleportation magic circle in the tower. No one knows where the High temple is on the northern continent."

Valerian also said, "We will be bothering you, Sir Mahiyan, and I would like to bring Haista and Calor with me."

Mahiyan nodded and said, "They have to be taken there. I will accompany you and return after recording my witness statement before the cardinals."

Valerian nodded. Valerie held the corner of his clothes and asked, "Can I go with you too?"

She felt like Valerian would leave her here. The young man smiled and said, "Of course, who will I cook for if you did not come along."

The girl smiled, and Fortuna curled her lip faintly. Three of them followed Mahiyan to the dungeons. Haista and Calor glared at Valerian. The old man said, "You will suffer, Telia will stab you in the back, and you will die just like your father."

Valerian smiled and did not say anything to him. On the other hand, Fortuna directly knocked them unconscious and dragged them behind her. Mahiyan was surprised, and the girl said, "It is easy to carry them like this."

Valerie asked, "Big sister, how did you do that? I also want to learn."

Fortuna smiled and said, "I will teach you when they wake up. Okay?"

Valerie nodded and Valerian said, "Someone learned to smile."

Fortuna rolled her eyes and said, "You mean to say I should smile for you? What are you?"

Valerian sighed and Valerie said, "Bog brother, I will smile for you."

The young man smiled and pampered the little one while making faces at Fortuna, who had a vein pop up on her forehead. They came to a sealed room, where Mahiyan chanted the teleportation spell, and a magic circle lit up under their feet. Fortuna placed her hand on Mahiyan’s neck and said, "If you try to act smart, I will kill you."

Valerian was surprised and Fortuna said, "Nothing to worry, I just do not trust this man."
