Chapter 440 440: Planetary Secrets

"I never imagined you could even control the cycle of reincarnation."

Kaguya allowed Brook to lead her by the hand as they toured the Pure Land and Hell. The more she saw, the more stunned she became by the sheer scale of his power.

Her Rinne Sharingan had never awakened any true authority over reincarnation. She could not even revive a person with ease.

"The ancestors of the Otsutsuki stole the power of the gods of the Underworld. That stolen authority fused into your bloodline and eventually gave birth to the Rinnegan, completely shattering the cycle of life and death in this star field."

Brook's voice carried open contempt.

"And then your clan went around planting Divine Trees on every planet they found, draining worlds dry. The Otsutsuki are nothing but parasites and scum feeding on this star system."

His blunt insults toward the Otsutsuki clan made Kaguya's face turn a little ugly.

Still, her status in the Otsutsuki main family had never been high. That was why she had refused to become a sacrifice, turned on her superior, Otsutsuki Isshiki, and ruled this world alone for a time.

"You created this hell for chakra and other forms of energy," Kaguya said with a soft snort.

Brook paused.

"What did you discover?"

He was genuinely interested in this planet.

After producing a Divine Tree fruit, the world had not changed much at all. Its vitality had barely weakened.

If this had been any ordinary planet, it would have already been drained into a barren wasteland.

"The life energy of this planet far exceeds the Divine Tree's absorption limit," Kaguya said, blushing as she leaned against him. "Even the highest quality chakra fruit produced by the Divine Tree failed to absorb much of this planet's true power."

Brook's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Exceeded the Divine Tree's absorption limit? If you hadn't been sealed away, you should have been able to produce a second or even third high quality chakra fruit by now, right?"

Thoughts flashed rapidly through his mind.

It seemed the summoning beasts of the three holy lands were far from simple.

Their existence predated even the arrival of the Otsutsuki clan.

The power of Hagoromo and Hamura had originally come from Kaguya, but under Gamamaru's guidance, Hagoromo learned the natural sage arts and eventually defeated her.

That alone proved the sage arts of this world might be even more advanced than the chakra of the Divine Tree.

Brook led Kaguya through the Gates of Hell, the Road to the Underworld, the Bridge of Helplessness, the Soul Imprisonment Ground, the Eighteen Levels of Hell, the Department of Rewards and Punishments, the Hall of Six Paths Reincarnation, the Hall of Yama, and finally back to the Ghost Emperor's Palace.

"These soul priests are quite strong. They may prove useful one day."

Princess Kaguya had seen souls like Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha. They were far superior to the White Zetsu soldiers she had once cultivated.

"My Underworld army is definitely stronger than your White Zetsu army."
