Bella Acker was busy like a spinning top every day, clearly too tired to think of other things, but sometimes she still found a part of her heart feeling empty.
It had been more than half a month since she last met Damian at the restaurant entrance, and he still hadn’t contacted her.
Bella was working on a high school English review question when she suddenly became distracted.
The phone on the table started vibrating wildly, startling Bella back to reality. The caller ID showed an unfamiliar number.
She glanced at the clock on the table; it was already past two in the morning. Who would call her so late?
Bella frowned and pressed the answer button, "Hello?"
"Bella, it’s all you, you’ve ruined me," a voice on the other end growled through gritted teeth.
"Vivian Norris?" Bella’s face darkened. She hadn’t saved Vivian Norris’s number after getting a new phone, so the call appeared as an unrecognized string of numbers.
"What? Surprised to hear my voice? Did you think I should be like a rat in a sewer, cautiously hiding away, never to show my face again?" Vivian said resentfully, "Bella, you wicked woman! You won’t rest until you’ve truly driven someone to the brink!"
Bella frowned, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you want to lose it, go find someone else."
"Don’t know what I’m talking about? Bella, at a time like this, you’re still pretending to be innocent." If Vivian could crawl through the phone, she would likely want nothing more than to strangle Bella. "You’ve driven me to the brink, got me completely sidelined by the company, and you still don’t let up, not even giving me a chance for minor gigs. You’re trying to kill me! And the stuff online, if it isn’t you pulling strings, who else could it be?"
Bella had been so busy recently that she barely had a moment to herself, not to mention her unresolved personal issues, leaving no time to pay attention to what’s happening online. She hadn’t logged onto social media like Weibo or WeChat in ages.

Bella immediately dismissed this thought. If Senior Quinn had done it, he would have surely consulted her first.

At Old Mr. Langdon’s gathering, when Vivian and Jaden Lynch both caused trouble for her, Damian was visibly angry. If he took action, he wouldn’t need to do much; just expressing his stance would be enough to make others eager to please him.
To completely crush a female artist, for those with power and influence, is just too easy.
Even Vivian’s company, knowing she offended Damian Sinclair, would fear to use her again. Keeping her sidelined indefinitely wouldn’t be a surprise.
As for Vivian’s backer, Jaden Lynch, he was like a mouse in front of Damian Sinclair. There’s no way he would risk offending Damian for a mistress. Especially since he was involved in the incident that day, fearing Sinclair’s anger, the Lynch Family would surely deal with Jaden Lynch to appease him.
With this realization, Bella understood why Vivian was in such dire straits now.
